Santana, was named after the Volkswagen car, Santana first introduced in 1981.
This pattern has been around since I was a little girl going fabric shopping with my mother. It's one of the special patterns used as 'and co' or also-ebi; 'uniforms' worn by groups of women on special occasions to identify with their associations or communities.
